It should be noted that the corresponding order was adopted in pursuance of the Presidential Decree of June 20, 2019, No. 418 "On the recognition of certain decrees of the President of Ukraine invalid", which abolished the Decree of the President L. Kuchma of July 10, 1998, No. 762 "On the ordering of collection payment for the commission of notarial acts ".

Previously, in accordance with the abolished legal acts, it was established that the amount of the fees charged for notarial acts by private notaries could not be less than the size of the rates of state fees that are being charged by state notaries for similar notarial acts.

After the Ministry of Justice has entered into force, private notaries have to set a fee, the amount of which is determined by agreement between a private notary and a natural or legal person.

The order itself will come into force from the day of its official publication.
