The order was issued to implement paragraph 2 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution of October 21, 2015 No. 835 “On Approval of the Provision on Data Sets to be Disclosed in the Form of Open Data” and to expand the list of information to be disclosed in the form of open data is the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Now Ukrainians will be able to keep track of a number of new parameters in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations: registration number, subscribers, branches.

It should be noted that for open data in Ukraine publication of the registration number is extremely important, because this parameter allows to combine all information about entrepreneurs in Ukraine. This will allow other public authorities to take a new step in the discovery of data. For example, the STS will be able to provide information on tax debts and tax status at the re-registration number, while keeping the personal data of entrepreneurs confidential.

According to the order, some of the information will be updated in the register daily, some - every five days. The full registry is scheduled to be uploaded in the open data format once a week.

According to Oppendabot founder Alexey Ivankin, Ukraine now has the most open business register in the world.
