Since December 1, 2019 the new social standards in Ukraine will operate

Since December 1, in accordance with the Law on the State Budget for 2019, new subsistence minimum per person is set at the level of 2027 UAH per month (now the figure is fixed at 936 UAH).

For the main social and demographic groups, the subsistence minimum for one person since December 1 is provided at the following level:

- for children under 6 years - UAH 1,779;

- for children aged 6 to 18 years - UAH 2218;

- for able-bodied persons - UAH 2102;

- for disabled people -  UAH 1638.

Please note that those who receive maximum unemployment benefit (which is calculated as a percentage of the average income for the last 6 months of work and cannot exceed the current UAH 7744 ) will receive more - UAH 8108.

For those who receive minimal unemployment benefits, this will not affect:

- for the persons specified in Part 2 of Article 22 of Law No. 1533 (excluding insurance experience), - in the amount of UAH 610;

- for the persons specified in Part 1 of Article 22 of Law No. 1533 (taking into account insurance experience), - in the amount of UAH 1630.

It should be noted that the minimum amount of assistance is set by the Ministry of Justice's Decree No 175 of September 27, 2018.

Due to the increase of the subsistence minimum, as of December 1, the size of the minimum pensions will increase to UAH 1638. Thus, these payments will increase by next month by UAH 74.

Please note that as of 01.12.2019, the minimum wage does not change and amounts to UAH 4173 per month (or UAH 25.13 per hour).
