A second package of changes was adopted to support citizens and businesses

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the bill 3275 at the meeting on March, 30. This is the second legislative package to support Ukrainians and their businesses in combating the spread of COVID-19.

“We are trying to ensure that restrictive measures do not harm the industry and that the maximum number of businesses can continue to operate. Also important are decisions to support those who may lose their jobs”, the Minister of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Igor Petrashko commented, the press service of the CMU informs.

Among all initiatives directly for small and medium-sized businesses, this bill provides:

  • simplification of registration of remote work and introduction of flexible working hours;
  • lifting the restriction on receiving only one of the state support for SMB development;
  • at the time of this quarantine, the introduction of the concept of partial unemployment for SMEs. Support for employee benefits will be provided when saving their jobs. Amount of assistance - up to 1 minimum wage. The cost of the initiative is approximately UAH 5 billion;
  • draft regulatory acts aimed at simplifying the requirements for quarantine business activities can be accepted by the authorities even for 1 day, not 30;
  • the moratorium on scheduled non-tax audits until June 30 extended.

It should be noted that the draft law was adopted with the recommendations of the specialists of the Ministry who contributed to its elaboration.
