Accordingly, SMS messages are court summonses that are sent by the court to the participant in the trial as an SMS to his / her mobile phone number.
Currently, SMS is a faster and more efficient means of informing participants about a court case, since for a normal summons it takes longer to send and receive it, as it is related to the timetable and mode of operation of the mail service.
SMS-method of informing litigants is now gaining ground. For example, during the quarantine period from March 12 to April 12, 2020, 8 185 SMS messages were sent to mobile numbers of participants of the process of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa. This is stated by the portal "Judiciary of Ukraine".
It is worth noting that judicial summonses by SMS are sent only after the application to the court for the intention to receive the subpoena electronically via SMS.
Moreover, the summons is sent to the participant of the trial on his mobile phone, specified in the text of the statement.
Please note that if you have changed your mobile phone number or have circumstances that prevent you from receiving the text of the subpoena by SMS, you will be asked to change the order of execution of a subpoena.
