XI International Scientific Conference "Chinese Civilization: Traditions and Modernity"
The organizers of the conference were A. Krymsky Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS of Ukraine, Ukrainian Association of Sinologists, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Confucius Institute of the Kyiv National Linguistic University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. The general sponsor of the project is the company "Ty i Pravo".
The conference was about various issues related to the study of history of Chinese civilization and modern development models in the world. At the conference, leading scientists from Ukraine, the People's Republic of China and other countries presented reports related to the international political, social and economic development of China, various aspects of Chinese culture, linguistics and literary criticism.
Particular interest and lively discussion were raised by questions of culture harmony of modern society, global leadership and foreign economic expansion of China, the development of bilateral Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, transport, security within China's global initiative "One belt one way" and the development of investment, trade and economic relations.
It was a great pleasure for the Company "Ty i Pravo" to take part in the XI International Scientific Conference. Our company has contributed and will contribute to the strengthening of Ukrainian-Chinese relations and the implementation of a variety of joint projects, including in the scientific field. In April 11 in the hall of "Interfax-Ukraine" Extraordinary Chinese Ambassador Du Wei presented a special edition of "China-Ukraine", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of of the diplomatic partnership between Ukraine and China.
International Conference on Human Rights
The event was attended by academicians and doctors of sciences, judges, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and international organizations of China, Iran, Sweden, Palestine, Estonia, Slovakia and Turkey.
The participants discussed issues on security of a human and the state in the international context and legal basis of the national security of Ukraine.
The Company "Ty i Pravo" took part in celebration the anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China
The celebration was headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine Du Wei, The Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Cubiv, the Second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, the Deputy Prime Minister Hennady Zubko.
The first welcoming speech came from the Ninth Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Mr. Du Wei. In particular, he noted that Ukraine and China are strategic partners with a long history.
Du Wei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine:
"A healthy and stable development of bilateral relations is based on the prudence and correct management of the leaders of the two countries. Perhaps you already know that this morning the Chairman of China Mr. Xi Jinping and the President of Ukraine Mr. Poroshenko held a formal meeting in Davos. This is an another important meeting between leaders of the two countries after a friendly conversation at the nuclear security Summit in Washington last year".
According to him, cooperation between the two countries has great potential. In particular, China for five years kept the status of the second trading partner of Ukraine. The volume of bilateral trade between China and Ukraine in 2015 amounted to over 7.1 billion US dollars (which is 30 times more than at the beginning of relations). Between independent Ukraine and China transactions worth 2,400 million dollars of exchange were signed. More than $ 7 billion of a loan was granted to Ukraine. In 2016, more than 25,000 Chinese tourists visited Ukraine. 48 provinces and cities of our two countries established friendly relations. 50 universities have signed cooperation agreements. Currently, around 12,000 foreign Chinese people and students are working and studying in Ukraine.
Stepan Cubiv, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economic Development and Trade:
"Today the dates matched: Ukraine celebrates the Old New Year, and China - the feast of the New Year. It is not by accident. I am grateful to fate and wisdom of the Chinese and Ukrainian peoples who were able to build relationship - including in culture and traditions. Governments, the Presidents of the two countries created the conditions for cooperation, which today guarantee a great perspective for its development. I am also grateful to Mr. Ambassador, who managed for a short time to reformat relations between Ukrainian and Chinese business".
Hennady Zubko, The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Ukraine:
"Ukraine is open to new technologies, for those industries that are ready to promote Ukrainian products with Chinese investors in Europe. This year there have been made a lot, there was opened a new transport route to China, and several Middle East countriesis already want to join this way and it is very important to us. "
According to Gennady Zubko, this year it managed to stop the decline of trade volume. For 9 months trade volume rate was 4.8 billion, which showed 1.5 percent growth, comparing with a fall in 2014, 2015.
This allows the implementation of joint structural interventions - for energy, road construction, agriculture and others.
At the end of the meeting the guests were greeted by The orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine.
