Starting next year, getting e-visas for entry to Ukraine will be easier but more expensive

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Rules for issuing visas for entry into Ukraine and transit through its territory.

Thus, Government Decree No. 954 stipulates that from January 1, 2019, new rules will apply, in particular:

- The processing of tourist and business visas for foreigners at border crossing points at Boryspil, Kyiv (Zhulyany) and Odessa airports will be canceled. After all, such travelers since April 2018, can obtain from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs electronic visas.

-  Tariff rate of the consular fee increases. So, the registration of e-Visa from next year will cost 85 (now $ 65);

- The list of grounds for issuing an e-Visa expands. So, next year, in addition to the business and tourist destination of the entry, e-visas will be given for up to 30 days for trips to Ukraine for private purposes, for the treatment, carrying out of activities in the field of culture, science, education, sports, and for performance of official duties by foreign media workers. Such e-Visas are issued as one-time.
