This was announced by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Lutsenko ("Batkivshina" faction) on his page in the social network Facebook

According to Lutsenko, the chances of passing the draft law at the parliament with such an opinion of the Anti-Corruption Committee are minimal.

"I hope the authors will take into account this position and soon we will see a completely different document, drawn up in detail with the community," said Igor Lutsenko.

Lutsenko explained that the proposed procedure for bringing a lawyer to disciplinary responsibility for contempt of the court could mean that the lawyer would punish the chosen method of protection. The same applies to the rules of prosecution for abuse of procedural rights. He also called corrupted a norm that a lawyer can not conclude an employment contract with a law firm or an association of lawyers.

We remind that the bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on September 6 and was determined by the President as urgent. The advocacy community  immediately came against it. Thus, NAAU stated that the new bill does not comply with international standards and democratic procedures for the implementation of reforms.
