Days off and holidays - 2019

Ukrainians in 2019 will have 11 additional days off for religious and public holidays. We are telling when Ukrainians will rest in the new year.

On New Year's and Christmas holidays in 2019, Ukrainians will have a rest for three consecutive days: from December 30 to January 1 and from January 5 to January 7. In 2019, the official holiday of January 1 falls on Tuesday, therefore, on December 31, it is recommended not to work, but on Saturday, the 29th day the weekend will have to be worked out. As a priest, this day will be reduced by 1 hour.

Christmas on the Eastern calendar (Orthodox Christmas) in 2019 falls on Monday, January 7, so weekends for Ukrainians will continue for three days - from January 5 to January 7.

In general, in 2019, Ukraine has 9 official and 2 religious holidays, which are recognized as official holidays:

January 1 - New Year

January 7 - Christmas

March 8 - International Women's Day

April 28 - Easter

May 1 - Labor Day

May 9 - Victory Day

June 16th - Trinity

June 28 - Constitution Day of Ukraine

August 24 - Independence Day of Ukraine

October 14 - Day of the defender of Ukraine
