The Verkhovna Rada postponed the introduction of fines for owners of cars with European registration

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine in connection with the adoption of the Law of Ukraine" On Electronic Trust Services"(Draft No. 8371).

236 deputies voted "for" after several attempts.

In accordance with the bill, the technical code was introduced into the Tax Code, including a document extending the period during which owners of automobiles on the Euro-meters can clear their cars. Now it is 270 days (previously - 180).

Thus, already on August 24, 2019 (and not on May 24, as it was previously envisaged) the provisions imposing fines for violations by car owners of the customs regime will come into force.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy Nina Yuzhanina said that by postponing the introduction of fines the Verkhovna Rada "went to meet people". According to the policy the delay, adopted today by the Parliament, is the last.

Also, we recall that in accordance with the law No. 2612-VIII, fines are imposed on the territory of Ukraine for violating the term of stay of an uncleaned car - in the amount  from UAH 170 to UAH 170 thousand or the confiscation of a car.
