Attorneys are obliged to conclude a written agreement on the provision of legal aid

The legal aid warrant does not replace the legal aid agreement, which is the basis for advocacy, but is merely a document that certifies the powers of the lawyer to provide legal assistance to the client.

The order may be filed by a lawyer on the basis of an oral agreement with a client located in, in particular, in a detention facility, but in the nearest possible time the lawyer is obliged to conclude a written agreement on the provision of legal aid with the client.

The relevant explanations regarding the execution of warrants for the provision of legal assistance prior to the conclusion of a written agreement approved by the RA resolution dated 12.04.2019 No. 57.
