From August 1, 2019, the gas prices has decreased.

The final gas price for the population decreased by 5.5% and amounts to UAH 5568 per thousand cubic meters, including VAT.

For industrial consumers, the price is set at UAH 4640 - 5204 per thousand cubic meters, excluding VAT and transportation costs (depending on purchase volume and payment terms).

From August 2, changes in the organic sector began to take effect

First, the law on the production and labeling of organic products came into force

The law stipulates the basic principles and requirements for organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products. Also, the principles of legal regulation of organic production, circulation of organic products and functioning of the market of such products are established.

In addition, a new state logo for organic products has been set since August 2. It was approved by the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine No. 67.

From August 2, in order to obtain the certificate of the organic production inspector, you will need to confirm your knowledge - this is stipulated in the Procedure of confirmation of the special knowledge of the organic production inspector and / or circulation of organic products in the field of organic production, approved by the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

On August 5, the accounts were transferred to IBAN

From that date, the introduction of the international bank account number IBAN in accordance with the requirements of ISO 13616 started. Its purpose is to facilitate transactions between banks of different countries. 

On August 5, a new securities accounting platform was launched

Accordingly, a new IT system for centralized depository accounting of DEPEND Q securities has been introduced in the financial market of Ukraine.

On August 9, the Law on Professional Higher Education will come into force

This law defines the procedure, conditions, forms and peculiarities of obtaining a professional higher education and regulates the social relations that arise in the process of realization of the constitutional right to education, rights and obligations of individuals and legal entities involved in the exercise of this right.

From August 22, fines for cars on the Euro numbers will increase

From this date, owners of cars that have exceeded the term of temporary importation of personal and commercial vehicles will begin to apply fines of:

• for exceeding the term from 10 to 20 days - 17 thousand UAH,
• from 20 to 30 days - 85 thousand UAH,
• for more than 30 days (as well as for the loss or dismantling of vehicles) - UAH 170 thousand, or their confiscation by court order.

It should be noted that recently the President of Ukraine proposed to delay these fines for another 90 days.

On August 25, it will be simplified to accept the citizenship of foreigners who have defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Law of Ukraine of 06.06.2019 №2743-VIII "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons Who Participated in Protecting the Territorial Integrity and Immunity of Ukraine" will enter into force on this day.
