In the 2019 rating, Ukraine ranked 71 position in the Doing Business rating. Earlier in the 2014-2018 period, Ukraine ranked 24th.
According to the World Bank, Ukraine has had positive changes this year in 6 indicators out of 10 indicators taken into account in rating.
The biggest progress was demonstrated by the "minority shareholder protection" indicator +27 points and the "building permit" indicator +10 points.
In addition, positive changes were noted in terms of components: grid connection, international trade, property registration and access to credit. This is a positive signal for Ukrainian entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
The Doing Business rating is compiled annually by the World Bank. It assesses the investment attractiveness of 190 countries. The report is based on a comprehensive study of the state of reform in each country, based on 10 key indicators. The Doing Business rating is often one of the decisive indicators for investors when making business decisions in a particular country.
